 Residential Sales by Price RangeHome sales in the Muskoka and Haliburton region declined 18.8 per cent on year-over-year basis to 268 units in the third quarter of 2008. While transactions were down from year-ago levels in all price ranges in the third quarter, fewer sales priced below $150,000 accounted for almost half of the overall decline. Activity priced from $150,000 to $250,000 posted the smallest decline, and sales remain strongest in this range. The market balance for resale homes also most favors the seller below $250,000.  |
